Ordered the mixed shwarma. Everything was delicious especially the falafel (which I normally dislike). I loved the oicked veggies, rice and chicken together as well. A great casual/cheap meal

I got a falafel sandwich today from King of Falafel, a place I've been going to for years. They have two new guys working there. One of them is extremely unfriendly and can't seem to smile, and the other one—the one who made my sandwich—asked me if I wanted it spicy. I said, "No, just tahini and white sauce." Then, a minute later, he asked me the same question again. The quality has definitely slipped. The pitas used to come with a nice amount of pickled vegetables, lettuce, and tomato. Today, my pita had no tomatoes and just one piece of pickled beet. They aren't even assembling it right anymore—it was just a bunch of dry falafel at the bottom of the pita and a clump of lettuce at the top. It's a real shame, because these pitas used to be made with love. This used to be my go-to spot for falafel in Midtown, but this is the second time within a week that I've been disappointed. I don't think I'll be going back. My coworker said the same thing.
